I can’t wait!!!
I went to a concert last night at the Chatham Dockyards. There were 2 stages – the family stage and the soul stage. On the family stage, Peter Andre and Blazin’ Squad were the main attractions whilst on the soul stage, the likes of The Foundations, The Real Thing and Womack & Womack were featured. It was great because the tickets only cost £10 and it is right by my doorstep.
Gates opened at 6pm and we headed straight for the main arena, on the family stage. We had K with us so she wanted to see Peter Andre. Actually, she really wanted to see Jordan (aka Katie Price), Peter’s fiancee (are they engaged yet?). So, she ran to the front and stayed there for the rest of the evening. For the rest of us, we stayed near the sound control as there weren’t many people who were lingering there. We just stood there while nothing happened for another hour.
We then decided to go to the other stage. Luckily it already stopped raining. We found more people we know who were there already dancing (and probably pissed already) to the music of the Jackson 5! A couple of minutes later, The Foundations went on stage. They played their hits like “Baby, Now That I’ve Found You”, “Knock On Wood” and “Build Me Up ButterCup” among others. They also played songs of Tom Jones (“Mustang Sally”) and the Beatles (“Twist & Shout”). It was great! I was in my element!
Then about 45 minutes later — oh, I’m by myself this time because Peter Andre went on the other stage and they all ran to see him — The Real Thing came on. It was a bit disappointing because they had sound problems and when they came on stage, the sound was really, really crap! But the group didn’t disappoint the crowd when they sang “You To Me Are Everything”.
After that, I went to see my friends and said goodnight. It was getting to chilly for me standing outside so I went home and missed Womack & Womack. But all in all it was a great night.
I think there is something wrong with my Internet Explorer because I couldn’t post using wysiwyg. I am typing this one via the MSN Explorer. I never had that problem before but since yesterday, my Google bar kept on disappearing, too!
Can someone help, please?
UPDATE at 09:05 — Now it seems to have fixed itself. Wonder what could have happened?
