A colleague of mine told me about his daughter’s recent school assignment. Her assignment was to find out about “Trimere” (sorry, can’t remember exactly what it was the teacher was asking exactly). She wrote it down on a paper: “What is TRIMERE?” Then the teacher wrote underneath her writing…….
“Has something 2 do wiv trees.”
How could the teacher do that ——> WIV ????
They should be told off for doing that! They shouldn’t be allowed to do that!
I admit. I do write like that sometimes, but only when sending SMS messages…
But for children, for shaping minds….NO! That shouldn’t be, it isn’t right. I believe that it is a teacher’s responsibility to do the proper and correct way to their students. If they muck it up later, at least you’ve given them the chance – at least – to know that they have mucked it up.
