The 1K mark

I reached my 1000 visitor numbers/site hits mark! Yeay! That sounds lame for most of you, I know…

I know that Catsudon and Karen have always been there, checking my blog and reading my posts. And of course, my Sunshine Sister, Lydia, then there’s Superpinggay…and some others who would pop in now and again. I’ve managed to meet new people through my blog so it is a good thing (not that I am still not convinced of the rationale behind all blogs, well, mine at least!)…and of course, my friend S, who I know always checks my site.

Anyhow…just wanted to say thank you to all!

Swamped!

I haven’t been blogging lately because I am swamped with work. Last weekend, I had to be ‘on-call’ for our Asia office as they put together a response to a bid to implement our systems for a water company in Surabaya in Indonesia. And tomorrow, I am off to Belfast for a meeting with an BT Syntegra for the day. All that whilst I am also co-ordinating the response for another bid, this time in the US, in Virginia, to be exact.

I’ll be back to proper blogging and blog-hopping soon, as soon as I get my head out of these waters.

Good news

I should have shared this good news yesterday but I was too busy with other things. Anyway, I was informed by our HR (yes, that person!) that my passport will be at my agents this coming Monday, 25 Oct. It has been all approved and I have been allowed to stay in the UK for the next 3 years under the HSMP programme!!! Apparently, it has already been approved but it has been sitting on a pile for dispatching. She asked for my papers to be pulled out from the pile and to be dispatched immediately. So, by next week, I will be mobile again!!! :hyper:

I broke…

Remember my concerns about my current residency here in the UK? Well, to this very day, I have no idea what is happening with my application for extension. The Homeoffice IND indicated in their website that they are currently processing extension applications received up to the 6th of August. This information was as of 18th of October. If you just look at these information, my application should be in someone’s desk at the moment and if the Homeoffice is true to its word to complete applications in 2 weeks’ time, mine should have come out with the result now.

But it hasn’t.

Is this bad or what?

I usually find myself falling asleep in front of the TV on my sofa after I had my dinner around 10.30pm (halfway through Sex And The City in Paramount Comedy channel). Then, I wake up around midnight (in time to catch the last few scenes of Ally McBeal, still on Paramount) so I could move to my bed. Thing is, when I do so, I take my laptop with me so I could either play music or put a DVD on so I could go back to sleep. Instead, I end up surfing the net or blog-hopping and before I know it, it’s 2am!

Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad…
