Highs and lows

Have you seen that Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer movie The Story of Us? Well, the family has this tradition where they go round the table during dinner and share each of their high and low for the day. That is nice, I think.

I could say that I will share my highs and lows to you, my dearest readers, on a daily basis but I might not live up to my own promise so I’ll just share you my high and low for today.

HIGH

:slaphappy:

J was able to start my car. Battery was dead. He had to jump start it. Now, it’s working! Yeay!

LOW

:crying:

I pulled the string of the light switch in my bathroom too hard. String went loose and I am not able to switch the lights off. A friend was able to re-connect the string but did not manage to attach it to the switch as he kept on electrocuting himself (bless him!). Now need a proper electrician to fix it. At least he was able to switch it off so I won’t have the lights on throughout the night. Tomorrow, I’ll be showering with a torch light or with candles because it will still be dark when I get up.

How about you?

  1. lydia: if i had kept the light on, my electricity bill would just shoot up! do know what you mean, cos this morning, around 6am, it was still dark & i felt silly showering in the dark…well, almost dark.

tin: i sure hope so myself…but i doubt if i could get away with it cheap…not in england, where manual labour is concerned.

karen: it did like that high-low concept eventhough the entire story of the film wasn’t that great, anyway.

  2. relax lang sa paghila-hila. yan na ba ang signs ng katigangan? hahaha! sige ka, pag nasanay ka maghila ng grabe, baka may magreklamo! at hindi yon ang electrician! hahaha!!!!! peace charl!
