I switched on – actually, it’s more of just lifting the flap it was on “hibernate” mode – of my laptop when all I got was a smoky blank screen! The HDD was ‘on’ but I couldn’t see anything on the screen. I thought then I overheated my monitor! I forced shutdown (pressing on the power button for more than 5 seconds) and re-started and I got it back. Big phew!
