The Romans used urine as an early form of toothpaste. But it had to be of a special type. It was frowned on for people to use their own. High society Romans paid good money for what they thought was the best variety — Portuguese urine. This was believed to be the strongest in the world, keeping teeth white and preventing cavities.

In ancient Egypt, crocodile dung was used as contraceptive. The is similar to spermicidal creams used today. I do not want to imagine how people apply it.
