- Lovely city…
- Crisp weather…
- Yummy seafood…
Not too big a city. Very much alive both during the day and night. Europe-like districts (e.g. Fells Point) with cobble-stone roads, brick buildings and small artsy shops. It is a city with a harbour so there is a boardwalk with cafes and restaurants. It also has shopping malls (to my delight and big, big saving grace…I’ll explain later) with shops of my favourite labels – Banana Republic, Gap, Ann Taylor and J Crew.
I actually got lost when I was looking for The Gallery shopping mall and I saw The Baltimore Sun building. I stopped and tried hard to remember why is the building and name seemed so familiar? Not long later, I realised that Meg Ryan’s character in Sleepless in Seattle was from Baltimore and she worked at the Baltimore Sun.
Big regret: Forgot the digital camera.
I was told prior to coming here that it always rains in Baltimore. But since I flew in, the weather had been absolutely gorgeous.
Very scrumptious food serving king and giant size lobsters, crabs and shrimps! Try Mo’s if you’re in town.
I will update this as I find it at the appropriate time.
