Aaahhh…yes!
Sunday morning. What’s so special about this Sunday morning?
Well, it is the first Sunday that I’m out having breakfast (chocolate creme and choco glazed) on my terrace. It means that spring has finally graced upon the British isles — at least, the south-east region. The temperature was at its 20s since Friday and it couldn’t be a more better segway than the other special-ness of this Sunday.
It’s a bank holiday weekend! Yeay! No work on Monday so it gives me an extra day to chill out and relax. I did start my weekend early when I went to London to see Faithless in concert last Friday evening at the Alexandra Palace. Stayed over at my friends in West Hampstead and then Saturday had lunch (with another set of friends) at the Rocket restaurant near Bond Street. After the lovely meal, we went for a stroll along Kings Road in the Chelsea area. I was dying to go into each of my favourite shops but managed to control myself. I just bought 2 cardboard boxes for storage from The Holding Company. It was lucky we were done (and beat!) way before the ‘Blues’ came partying after Chelsea F.C. won the Premiership.
Whadda? It’s drizzling! No way! Oh well…too good to last! I’m back inside my flat now.
So, where was I? Oh yes, Chelsea. Yes, they won the league last night after 2 goals from the brilliant Frank Lampard (pictured on the right). They have waited 50 years for this to happen and it was only the 2nd in the club’s history. I’m not a real CFC follower but I do like the way this team plays — like one well-oiled machine. Chelsea is definitely among my top 3 English football clubs with Arsenal and Liverpool.
Anyway, before I make this a Match-of-the-Day highlights post, the last (but certainly not the least) part of making this Sunday special is the fact that … (drum rolls, please) … I am resuming my driving lessons today! I have booked for an initial assessment with a new driving school today. I was with BSM in the past and they were with me with during the (many, many) practical tests that I had in the past. I reckon that a new instructor from a different school all together will help identify and correct what I may have been doing wrong. Today’s driving will help them assess the amount of lessons that I still need to put in. I want to do a semi-intensive course, i.e. 3-4 hours per day, every other day, for 2 weeks and at the end of it, take the practical test. I want this because the 2 hours per week doesn’t seem to have worked on me but then again, let’s see how today will go. Thing is, I need to pass my practical test before November this year. Otherwise I will have to take the theory test again! Nooooo!
Okay, sun is trying to come back out now.
