In light of the events that happened in London yesterday, I would simply share the rest of the photos and give my brief recollection of the act.
Will Smith – the artist who acknowledged each of the concerts and asked everyone to join in with the finger snapping. |
Travis |
Sir Bob Geldof – gave in and sang I Don’t Like Mondays |
Bryan Adams – feed from Toronto |
Brad Pitt – it was a complete surprise when he came on stage and all the women sprang to their feet! Yes, including ME! |
Annie Lennox – powerful rendition of Why |
Black Eyed Peas – live from Philadephia |
UB40 – Red, Red, Wine |
Bon Jovi – Oh, were halfway there…oh-woh…Living On A Prayer |
Snoop Doggy Dog |
Destiny’s Child – performing in Philly |
Madonna – with the young Ethiopian woman who was helped from the original Live Aid. She was 10 minutes to death when the aid from the concert came in. |
Joss Stone – for a girl her age, she is fantastic! |
Scissor Sisters – OK when they started but ruined it when they sang a new single |
Sting – need I say more? |
Mariah Carey – tried to be posh by having her own water carrier on stage |
David Beckham – introduced a friend… |
Robbie Williams – for me, the best act as he really knew how to get the crowd going. He was also the only artist who went down to the public and got mobbed! But he’s totally fantastic! |
We needed to go after Robbie (around 10:30) as we would miss the last train from Victoria. Still came after him were Peter Kay, The Who, Pink Floyd and George Michael. The last act was Sir Paul McCartney who had the entire Hyde Park crowd singing Hey Jude.
It was a fantastic night! Hopefully, it will really start things to MAKE POVERTY HISTORY.
