With my upcoming trip to Indonesia, I decided to swing by Manila for a week. My company, as you may have read in my ranting, is getting me a flight via Singapore. So, I have 3 choices for my Manila sidetrip:
| Airline | Fare Price | Pros | Cons |
| Jetstar Asia | S$372 (£124) | cheap! | no-frills airline, haven’t tried before, no frequent flyer miles (FFM) |
| Philippine Airlines | S$469 (£156) | have flown before… | …but in business class, haven’t tried fiesta class (this is for international flights), no FFM |
| Singapore Airlines | S$589 (£196) | one of the best airlines, have flown with before, FFM | most expensive among options |
Actually, there is one other airline — Tiger Airways — but they fly to Clark, which is just too far for me.
So, which one should I go for? Any tips for me?

I’m no expert in business travel, but with my innate paranoia I would skip the no-frills airlines and go for Singapore Airlines. Safety and comfort first! What’s a few more dollars when you’re sure that the airline you’re taking is really going to take care of you?
Of course, this is my personal opinion – and from past experiences, my opinion doesn’t really count. heh.
Hi Kala! I decided to heed your opinion and go with Singapore Airlines.
