Today is my last day in Manila and I’m off to Singapore this evening to catch my connecting flight to London tomorrow. I will be crashing at Christine’s (new) place as she and her hubs are kind enough to let me stay for 1 night in lieu of paying a hotel room.
It was good seeing a lot of people this time round – friends from high school, college (the ones who I haven’t seen for a loooong time!) and ex-colleagues at work. This time was probably better than my previous trips back here. Maybe because it isn’t quite Christmas yet so people are still around and not yet booked with different holiday activities.
Then, of course, I had to catch a cold (for nostalgic purposes?) before I leave. It seems that I never leave Manila without it.
Well, the most important part of my trip is seeing my mother, of course. We had time to go to the spa … and I was able to help her out with some of her work here. Although I wasn’t able to join her at the Sunday school she conducts to under privileged children at Amaya in Cavite. I will post more about this work soon.
So Manila…this is it…until we see each other again!
