Read in one paper this week that the Geneva-based European Broadcasting Union has decided to sell rights to stage an American version of Eurovision. NBC has been wanting to have a program that would compete with Fox’s American Idol.
States will compete against each other choosing the style of music which best reflects their musical heritage – so viewers can expect country from Tennessee and soul from Georgia.
