He

He brought the rays of sunshine on my dull world.

He gave me a reason to wake each and every single day.

His look makes my body tingle.

He taught me tons of card games like shithead and poker.

He showed me the beauty of any photograph.

He loves my adobo cooking.

He taught me how to cook bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie.

He showed me how to enjoy the little things in life like orange marmalade on toast.

His kisses are a testament that there is no chocolate or candy that are sweeter.

His embraces made me feel protected and safe.

He put a skip in my every step.

His face is all I long to look at and kiss every waking morning.

He is my happiness.

And now he’s gone.

True-false tag from PinayHekmi

Over a week ago, PinayHekmi shared 5 statements regarding herself. Now, the idea is that 2 of them are false whilst the rest are true. And since it was me and Kat who got it right, I think we are also expected or rather we’ve been tagged to keep the meme going by doing the same thing. So, here goes me.

1. I almost — unknowingly — ruined the marriage between a good friend and his wife. Apparently, my friend had feelings for me but I never knew about it. However, his wife is still not happy with me and him to remain as friends to this day.

2. From the time that I lived outside of the Philippines, I have been home every year. And it’s always during Christmastime.

3. I have more than 200 pairs of shoes.

4. It is one of my ultimate dreams to be cast in a musical both in West End and Broadway. I even auditioned for Miss Saigon, the Stuttgart production, only to be let down after 2 stages.

5. My strongest “pulling” attribute with the opposite sex is dancing. When I am out on the dancefloor, men can’t help themselves but to be drawn to me like bees to honey.

Remember, 2 of these 5 statements are FALSE. But which ones are they?

Person of the Year

Every year, Time Magazine selects its Person of the Year. This person is deemed to have made a huge influence on his or her society and possibly effected change — for good or bad. For this year, YOU have been selected for this coveted honour! Winning over other candidates like Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, China’s President Hu Jintao, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and James Baker, the former US Secretary of State.

YOU refers to all people who have used the World Wide Web to share views, opinions and creative geniuses. Yes, YOU… the bloggers, googlers, podcasters, wiki writers, youtubers, developers (of widgets, plugins and free software and applications) and even just mere commenters.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!

Searching for the stamps

(Continuing from Employer’s Support…)

Everything is in motion now. Just received the necessary forms from the agent. Began completing it and only stopped because of the following sections:

  • Referees – need 2 who I have known for the last 3 years.
  • Absent days – need to list down the dates I went in and out of the UK for the last 5 years! Ugh!

Asked 2 friends to be my referees and hopefully, they will say yes.

Now, scouring through frequent flyer miles statements and stamps on my passport for the absent days info. Not fun.

Adieu, dear Ben

My favourite — Ben Mills — on the X Factor has been voted out at the semi-final round. He doesn’t deserve it. He should be in the final! He’s so talented and his voice is refreshing from all the other new artists out there. Here’s a clip of one of his performances on the show.

I’m pretty sure that this is not the last we’ll hear from this great talent!
