More than just the outside

It is the only pair of shoes he ever wears. Even when it has been designed mainly for outdoor sporting activities, P’s Merrell Chameleon Wrap Gore-Tex® XCR® in brown and orange, has a definitive casual flare. He bought this pair, which is pictured below, during a trip to Boston. It is one of the few items he has that has a tinge of orange, the other one is a jacket I got him from a business trip. His Chameleon pair really looks good on him, I must say.

Anyway, although Chameleon is the most popular among the range, Merrell offers more. There is the Continuum, which is especially designed for hiking, cold weather, aqua and multi-sports. For a more urban look, there are the Pace, Relay, Sprint, Sandals and the Mocs ranges. All are available for both men and women, except for the Pace range, which is only for me. Each pair of Merrell shoes has comfort at the core of the principles used in the design and technology, from air cushion® midsoles, innovative soles to the omni-fit lacing system.

The Merrell company started in Utah some 20 years ago. Today, Merrell shoes are available in almost every fitness shops in the USA, Canada and Japan. Here in the UK, they are available online through most online retailers like Hertfordshire-based Fitness Footwear. A pair ranges from £50 to £90, plus shipping (although Fitness Footwear offers free UK shipping).
