Be forewarned: I am going to rant in this post.
Wikipedia describes git as a term to…
…denote a silly, stupid, annoying or childish person. It is usually an insult, more severe than twit but less severe than prat.
Silly is the situation because it has been more than 10 days now and I still haven’t received the refund of my security deposit for the rental of the flat.
Stupid is the person who represents the ‘landlord’ and most of the people working at the letting agency.
Annoying because I’ve already been ‘stood up’ twice by the landlord. We agreed to meet first on Tuesday night at the flat to ‘close’ my file and they could finally give me my deposit back! Tuesday afternoon, I rang to check if they have obtain a set of keys from the letting agency (as that is where I surrendered them keys) and was told that they haven’t. So, another appointment set for Wednesday night, same time – 7PM. I didn’t bother calling before I headed off to my old flat. Got there a little early so I hung around the main door armed with plenty su doku as I waited. 7.15PM… no sign of the landlord. So I eventually called and told that he won’t be coming either. I feel like my head was about to explode then.
Childish was the initial reaction of the landlord when I asked him about the refund of the deposit. He said that I should have told him I was moving out. Huh? Run that by me again? Me, tell you when it was your agency that kicked me out? He said I should have known better. Boo-hoo.
So, where does that leave me?
Still no money back. That means if I decide to rent again, I won’t have the cash to make any deposit. A temper just waiting to steam out. And a ranting post.

I had to read that twice. It doesn’t make any sense.
You should have known better? Known better to what? Maybe rent from them, is what! I hope you get your deposit soon.
I hope that you will get you money back soon!
time to call the Court for Small Claims..
yay, sarap sakalin!
Junnie is right. In Germany, nobody can kick you out of your flat until you’re found a suitable replacement. Know your rights. Good luck!
