I have heard of stories in the past of parents and grandparents cutting out coupons and vouchers from newspapers and magazines. I think at some point when I was growing up, my lolo’s (grandfather) sister did it as well. Nowadays, however, there are hardly coupons in the papers. There are “catalogues” from the food stores and supermarkets like Morrisons for some of their special deals but there is really never a voucher that you cut out.
Of course, we all like discounts. Even better if they are free! But hey, in this day and age, there are not many things that come free. So, it is a bit comforting to find out about WebbyPlanet.com, a site where you could find discounts for your online and offline shopping pleasure. Coupons are available for electronics, travel, food and fashion. For example, Old Navy is currently offering $10 off for purchases in excess of $75 for both online and in stores until the 4th of October. There are tons to really choose from. Unfortunately, the shops with these offers are mostly in North America. Yes, online shopping does allow someone like me, in Europe, to purchase goods from some place else. But postage and packing, I imagine, would be dire. Although, there are “free shipping offers” about but I assume it is only for shipping in the US, US territories and Canada. Nonetheless, knowing that there is such a site where bargains are up for grabs is indeed noteworthy.
