I have recently informed my friends over at Friendster that I will be deleting my account there at the end of this month. This is simply because I have decided that I like Facebook works better for me. I asked everyone in my Friendster list to give me their email addresses so I could stay in touch with them. Would I use it to send them an invitation to join Facebook? Possibly. Most likely.

So, why did I choose Facebook over Friendster?

Simple. The applications.

I love the fact that you can poke your friends or even strangers. I got poked once by someone who I attacked over on Pirates! You can send them a virtual booze like butter beer or moonshine and a tiki revenge. You can also play games like poker and the exciting Scrabulous, where Kat always beats me!

These apps make the networking more interactive. You do more than just share your photos and leave messages.

And thus, I will fade away from Friendster. I haven’t had the time to login there lately anyway.
