Giro Italia 2: Views from the lake

(Continuing from ‘Arriving in style‘)

As mentioned in the previous related post, the hotel we stayed at is about an hour from the town of Bellagio on the Navigazione (the ferry boat). The ferry cris-crosses along the lake, which makes it a good way to see all the towns in Lake Como. From Moltrasio, the route to Bellagio goes through the towns of Torno, Urio, Faggeto, Pognana, Careno, Brienno, Argegno, Sala C, Isola C, Lezzeno, Campo, Lenno, Tremezzo, Villa Carlota, and Cadenabbia. I will let the photos speak for itself.

6. Another Star Wars location, I believe

10. The view on the approach to Bellagio

In parting, there is this one view that caught my attention and reminded my highly of the cheese rolling here in the UK (Gloucestershire). Cheese rolling is basically is an event where they roll a block of cheese from the top of the hill and people run after it. Mad, isn’t it? Well, imagine then if cheese was rolled on this hill.

Cheese rolling anyone?

Next: Bellagio and Como
