I’m gutted that England did not win the Rugby World Cup.

It would have been a real delight if the boys won as it would have been momentous. No country has ever defended the cup. And much to the country’s dismay, Jonny and the lads’ effort were not just good enough.

But the entire country is proud of these men. It was such a struggle to land a place in the finals, especially after the appalling matches at the start of the tournament. I mean, even the newly crowned champions creamed us for 36-nil! Yet, they fought back. Fought hard. The win against France was tremendous! And it certainly boosted everyone’s hopes. The entire nation was behind them.

Eventhough it was not to happen, I’m pretty sure that every man, woman and children is proud to wear the white and red shirt with the English rose.

We’ll try again in 4 years!
