Rent a mansion

I will always have a soft and warm spot in my heart for Spain. I admire the lifestyle, the fashion and the food. I don’t feel rushed at all when I’m there — probably due to the manana habit. All seems so relaxed. If I ever get a chance, I wouldn’t mind getting a property there myself. But for now, I can simply resort to crashing at friends’ or renting a holiday house/apartment/flat.

If you travel quite a lot, either for personal or business reasons, you will most likely to stay in hotels. I don’t know about you but in recent times, I am liking hotel stays less and less. Looking back to my holidays in Italy last July/August, it would have been a different story and experience if did not stay in a hotel. Like, what if we had stayed at George Clooney’s villa? Hah! I wish. Anyway, the idea of holiday house/apartment/flat is becoming more and more favourable to me that I am determined to stay at one for my next holidays.

Now, if I could stay at something like this…

Palacete de Cazulas

… life would be grand!

Palacete de Cazulas is a Spanish mansion with a private chapel that is located in the Andalusian region in the province of Granada. It is definitely for holiday lets and can accommodate up to 24 guests. It has 12 rooms in the main manor and quaint cottage with 2 twin bedrooms. It also has a 30-ft swimming pool, tennis court and a massive garden. There is also a chapel in the same finca (property), which makes it perfect for weddings.

So, how much is the rent?

Like most holiday destinations, there is a high and low season. During the high season (May – October, including Christmas, New Year’s and Easter) the main house on a self-catering basis is €9,900 a week for up to 16 persons. That is €618.75 per person for the week. Not bad. For the low season, it is €8,800 per week. Short breaks are also accommodated during the low season for wedding parties and the cost is €1,750 per night for a minimum of 3 nights for a party of up to 20. That would be around £262.50 for each guest for 3 nights. That is cheaper than most hotels I stayed in for events like that!
