The age of plastic cash

I am officially in a panicked, last minute shopping mode. Yes, I told you all that 2 posts ago. What’s worse is that my debit card was swallowed up by the cash machine when I returned back to London from a recent business trip. The new card is on its way but with the holiday season in tow, I have no other choice but to shop with cash. Thank goodness I could withdraw cash from my account over the counter. However, this means that I am not able to purchase anything online unless the site accepts PayPal.

It sucks having this feeling.

PayPal did give me a wee glimmer of hope with their plug-in that generates a single- or multi- use card for online shopping even when the site does not accept PayPal. But everytime I try to generate the card, it says that my request cannot be processed at this time? I already sent an email to their support but still have no answer as to why it doesn’t work. And with only having until Friday for present shopping, I really have no other choice but to trod the shops on the high street.
