No age limit

I’ve been learning to dance Argentine tango for more than a year now and I am determined to continue learning. I saw this video clip from Tango Thoughts and thought I’d also post it here and share it with all of you — all 3 of you who read my blog.

Who says tango is only for adults? If I could dance half as good as this little girl, I’ll be over the moon.

  1. Hanep ang galing ng bata! Very precise ang steps yet kayang kaya nya. Hindi kaya nakuba yung partner nya? Well at least madali lang sa kanya kapag may lifts.

Eto yung dance na lagi kong inaabangan sa Strictly Come Dancing kapag sinasayaw ni Vincent and Flavia. I really love watching it. Nasa intermediate ka na ba? Ilang Latin dances na ang nama-master mo, Charl? Salsa? tango?

  2. Hey Celia, great to see you drop by again here! Now there are possibly 4 who read my blog! Hahaha!

Gleng no? Her partner is her dad so she must have been learning from the time she learnt to balance on 2 legs.

I am on the intermediate level but still learning the lifts and more fancy ganchos (leg hooks). It is a dance with very precise movements — that are not choreographed! — to achieve fluidity in the steps. Very challenging!

I am keen on learning the different Latin dances but Argentine tango has kept me hooked (pardon the gancho pun) for this long.
