Came across this on Yahoo UK News:
GOT COWS? PHILIPPINES NEEDS 12,000
A programme at schools to feed some of the country’s 12 million malnourished children need 12,000 more cows to provide enough milk.
Can we use carabao milk instead?

got here via paruparo’s site.
ok, let’s say they DO this…surely, the next step is to give the cows supplements which hopefully, in the long run, DOES NOT cause bad side effects to the children and then have the next problem of curing….i’m saying this because for sure, the concept will be,” if the cow has alot of nutrients inside its body, the milk it produces will be good for the kids, too.” kinda like making an ostrich size egg out of a chicken egg thing by feeding them all those artificial stuff.
to analyse: i agree with you. breastmilk is still best for babies. i suppose it is something that is not highly advocated back in pinas. see ruth’s post on this same issue.
to justice: hey, thanks for dropping by. pray na lang tayo at wala na talagang mad cow disease!
generally, i just find the endeavour ridiculous!!!
also came upon the article… kokonti na lang ang kalabaw… mas mabuti siguro milk ng kambing… mas madami sila at mas madaling alagaan. Mas madali pang ibenta ang meat ng kambing sa mga tumatagay…hehehe.
Anyway… I really wish the government can do something about the nutrition of the kids here… and of course the education…

breastmilk is still best for babies :hyper:. i guess we have to control demography and be responsible so there’ll be less children to feed. i remember the vendors infront of manila city hall, they feed their children with bearbrand milk yata yun at a very young age, so they lack the necessary nutrients and vitamins to grow correctly. poor kids.
when i arrived here, i was kinda shocked by the condom vending machines scattered in almost every corner of paris and even here in dijon, but hey, that helps to be AIDS free and responsible citizens di ba. almost all contraceptives here are rembursable, pag nabuntis ka pa ba naman without planning it…
teka, relevant pa ba yung comment ko :tapedshut:
