I got tickets for the Live8 concert in London!
Yes, I was one of those lucky people who got a pair of tickets after participating in the text lottery. I was really glad and very excited to go! Oh yeah, that’s another thing … I can go! Looks like I’ll be around after all.
I was also pleased to hear that Ebay UK had pulled out all those who tried to sell tickets. When I checked yesterday, there were around 8 who were selling or auctioning the tickets for at least £200. Now, they have been pulled out. But there was this completed auction (which Ebay claims they cannot withdraw) and the winner bid £10 MILLION! Ooppss! Checked it again and that item is gone and another bidding is ongoing and the highest bid is currently at £5 million. I think they are just messing up these sellers to shame them for actually placing the tickets for bid or sale. Shame on these sellers, really!

Hi! Got here via Pinayhekmi. CONGRATS on getting tickets to LIVE8!! I would so trade places with you in a heartbeat!! You’ll get to see THE CURE (my all time favorite band), not to mention U2, Sting, Madonna, Coldplay, and whole slew of other GREAT artists!! I don’t think it’s fair that London gets all the great and Philly (the city closest to where I am) only gets Jay-Z (though I like him as well) and not so legendary artists…
