Update on the Nokia (5800) Tube

Been almost 2 weeks since my first post on the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. As I said there, I will continually share my experiences of the good and the bad of this quite amazing gadget. For this post, I’m afraid it’s one for the bad.

Battery
If your battery is running low, i.e. it is on its last bar… do not, I repeat, DO NOT switch the phone off thinking that this will save you some juice. When you try to switch it back again, without having to re-charge just yet, the Nokia 5800 will not power up.

I’ve read in several fora on the web saying that it actually takes more power to fire up the phone so whatever you do, don’t switch it off.

I hope that this is indeed the reason for my phone not powering up. I’m off to the nearest Vodafone shop to re-charge it a bit. Fingers crossed, it is not damaged.

You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

i’m thinking of upgrading to this phone. apparently better than ipod, according to someone who’s tried both.

Haven’t had any experience on the iPod so can’t really say if it is better or not. But for the features that it has compared to its price, it is really impressive. Real cost for money. Although I really didn’t have to pay for mine as it was part of a free upgrade.
